On The Table Blog Hop

Happy Saturday!
Welcome to the On The Table Blog Hop!

I'm so glad you could join us today!
If you arrived here from Maria's blog, then you are in the right spot!
If you just happened to stumble across the hop on my blog today and would like to start at the beginning, just hop on over and see Joy @ Joy's Life.

Thanksgiving at our house is very casual and laid back.
Everything is normally set up in the kitchen, a line is formed and after the plates have been filled, we make our way to the table lol! I decided to make these cute little Turkey's to put on the table.
Since it is just the four of us, I didn't feel the need to put our names on them like I would a place card.

I cut my Turkeys out on my silhouette. I made 2 boy turkeys and 2 girl turkeys.

Inside each turkey is a combination of pumpkin pie kisses and caramel kisses. Yum!

I used this sentiment from the It's All Fall Puns stamp set.
Adorable!

There are so many fabulous greetings on the It's All Fall Puns stamp set!

One of my families favorite recipes that I make every Thanksgiving for the past few years is Peanut Butter Cup Pie.
It is soooo good! If you like Peanut Butter cups, then you will love this pie.
*not my original recipe*

Peanut Butter Cup Pie
source: Kraft Food & Family Holiday '09

1 package (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/2 cup plus 1 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter, divided
1 cup cold milk
1 pkg (3.4 oz) Jell-o Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
2 1/2 cups thawed Cool Whip whipped topping, divided
1 Oreo Pie Crust (6 oz.)
3 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1. Beat cream cheese and 1/2 cup peanut butter until well blended. Add milk and dry pudding mix; beat 2 minutes. Whisk in 1 cup cool whip; spoon into crust. Refrigerate until ready to use.

2. meanwhile, microwave remaining cool whip and chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring after each minute. Cool completely.

3. Spread chocolate mixture over pudding layer in crust. Microwave remaining peanut butter in small microwaveable measuring cup or bowl 30 seconds; stir. Drizzle over pie. Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm.

Enjoy!

What a great idea. At my house it's just the four of us and a possible single guy from our work if they are not working and have no other invites. This is the cutest. My family will find these on the table this year.
